Science Panel Calls Global Warming ‘Unequivocal’

PARIS, Feb. 2 — In a grim and powerful assessment of the future of the planet, the leading international network of climate scientists has concluded for the first time that global warming is “unequivocal” and that human activity is the main driver, “very likely” causing most of the rise in temperatures since 1950.
They said the world was in for centuries of climbing temperatures, rising seas and shifting weather patterns — unavoidable results of the buildup of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere.
But their report, released here on Friday by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said warming and its harmful consequences could be substantially blunted by prompt action.
While the report provided scant new evidence of a climate apocalypse now, and while it expressly avoided recommending courses of action, officials from the United Nations agencies that created the panel in 1988 said it spoke of the urgent need to limit looming and momentous risks.

most legitimate religions give you a blueprint to salvation, but not the Church of Global Warming. The Church offers no path to salvation - only conjecture that all life on planet Earth is doomed. These climate scientists -the high priests in the Church of Global Warming - use 'consensus' as their methodology. A very unique method not used in any other science discipline. And, like any nascient religion, dissent is harshly condemned with swift retribution to the dissenter (i.e. Dr Heidi Michaels claim that those who don't agree with her assessment should have their credientials revoked).
What the Church of Global Warming won't tell you is that even Mars is warming. An indication that solar activity is a more likely cause of global warming. But, just as Thomas' writings about Christ were kept out of the bible, evangelical climate writers who espouse an opposing view are kept out of the Algoreanetics - the 'bible' for the Church of Global Warming.
Being a man of science myself, I do not consider 'consensus' a valid scientific method. Ice analysis from Antarctica is not enough evidence make a determination about the entire planet. I am a global warming skeptic as well we all should be. Believe it, don't believe it. But, don't be afraid to speak your mind about it. The Church of Global Warming - like David Koresh and the Branch Davidians - use fear and intimidation to bring you in to the religion. We should be ever vigilant that that fear and intimidation does not dictate our actions.
