See this comprehensive graphic by Emily Turner on how the rich have gotten richer, the poor have gotten poorer and the middle class has been squeezed to the hilt. Another non-surprise: The rich are paying less in taxes. But then we all knew that anyway, right?

I wish the budget deficit fanatics, pro-gun fanatics, Christian conservative fanatics, and anti-science and -environment fanatics — the base of today's GOP — would wake up and realize that the ultra-wealthy are playing them for dupes.
