Progressive Ponderings: Memorial Day Special

In a Supreme Court decision of 1886, Santa Clara County vs. Southern pacific railroad, the court granted corporations personhood. It provided them free speech protection and granted them the right to participate in the political process through lobbying and political contributions. This year our current Supreme Court went further and lifted legislative limits on the amount of money these fictional persons can spend on political activities.
Today, Memorial Day, 2010, ask the Supreme Court the following:
One last question: To whom do the profits of war go?

- How many corporations have served in the U.S. military?
- What medals of Honor have they received?
- Today, how many Americans will place wreaths on the site of a fallen corporate hero?
- How many wounded corporate veterans now receive benefits for medical care?
One last question: To whom do the profits of war go?
