Voter fraud found in Minnesota ... finally!

BREAKING NEWS: After years of searching for voter fraud in Minnesota, it has finally been found! Almost as elusive as the mythical Bigfoot, the voter-fraudster is a 86-year-old woman with a walker.

ST PETER — Margaret Schneider will tell you life hasn’t been easy lately.
She uses a walker to get around her small St. Peter apartment, can’t stand for long periods of time and readily admits she’s a victim of senior moments. Schneider, 86, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and dementia is one of her symptoms.
She’s also easily stressed, which became apparent while she discussed with The Free Press the letter she received recently from the Nicollet County Attorney’s Office. It told her she’s been charged with a felony for voting twice during the 2012 primary election.
Schneider doesn’t deny the allegation. She realizes now, after talking with St. Peter police detective Travis Sandland, that she did vote twice. She voted once with an absentee ballot on July 13 and again at her polling place  Aug. 14.
“It had been awhile and I didn’t even remember,” Schneider said. “I was shocked to death because I thought my absentee ballot was for the president.”

who are the neandrathan election judges who missed this? There should have been an AB stamped in big, bold red letters where her name appears in the Roster Book and the Roster Judge should have noticed this. If the the AB stamp did not appear in the Roster Book, then who at Nicollet County Elections dropped the ball and didn't process the absentee ballot correctly?

This is part of my problem being a head election judge (one of Ramsey County's best according to Joe Mansky, I might add)- it's not so much that we have incompetent voters, but we have incompetent judges as well. In my own precinct, our Registration Judges registered a handful of people who were in the wrong district. Man, I was POed at them for dropping the most basic task as a Regsitration Judge and in my review sheet, suggested these judges not be hired in the future for their incompetence. I mean, really, how hard is it to look in the Precinct Finder and confirm someone is in the correct precinct before letting them register?

Of course, the Nicollet County attorney is just doing her job, but who in the hell is running the elections in Nicollet County? Perhaps I will contact the Secretary Of State to have me assigned there and whip those people in the shape in St Peter. Sounds like they need a serious ass kicking down there...
