Roger Federer may not be playing quite at the epic levels that he used to — but that doesn’t mean he’s not capable of the occasional pleasant surprise. Above is a video of yet another ridiculous, between-the-legs winner that he hit Monday night against Brian Dabul. (Stay with it - the shot doesn’t come for nearly 20 seconds.) The stakes weren’t as high as they were in the semifinals last year against Novak Djokovic, when he hit a similar stunner, but still. The Journal’s Tom Perrotta’s had this quick take on the shot.
