Californians 'hate all of their politicians'

Even by the standards of this anti-incumbent year, a new poll out of California is striking: Voters in the Golden State give nearly all of their top politicians negative ratings — and the foul mood is sticking to officeholders and their challengers alike.
The Public Policy Polling poll puts Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s approval rating at 20 percent — a number so low that Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer can nearly double it and still be in the red at 37 percent.
The takeaway, from PPP director Tom Jensen: It’s remarkable “how much voters in the state hate all of their politicians.”
That might be good news for newcomers, but it’s not.
