Rep. Todd Akin's Pledge botch

Kicking off today’s tea party press conference/protest at the Capitol, Missouri Republican Rep. Todd Akin urged the crowd to join him in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance because it “drives the liberals crazy.”
Then he botched it.
So eager to shout out “one nation UNDER GOD,” Akin skipped right over the next word – “indivisible” – before stumbling into “with liberty and justice for all.”
Akin spokesman Steve Taylor said the congressman acknowledges having had “a little bit of a Justice Roberts type of moment,” blaming it on “a little echo of the speakers.”
“It is not a problem with knowledge or understanding,” Taylor said. “Everyone at some point in their life will have some difficulty with execution or elocution.”
In 2004, Akin proposed the Pledge Protection Act to keep federal courts from ruling on its constitutionality.
