Ask a Republican: Rep. Richard Martin (R-Ohio 19)
A politician we really like!
Okay, folks, we don't deny it: We include Google, Yahoo and Amazon ads on our site in the hopes of defraying some of the costs of Vox Verax, which to date has been a cash flow negative proposition — and that doesn't even include our time.
It's a reality that many, if not most, of the ads we get from Google are for get-rich-quick schemes or fake polls, which we promptly flag and stick into our competitive ad filter. Every once in a while we get an ad from a site we simply have philosophical differences with, and we also add the URLs for those.
In order to find out who these advertisers are, we usually have to click on the ad to go the their sites. Google doesn't particularly like this, since it adds false hits for these sites, which costs them money, albeit in minuscule amounts.
This is what brought me to click on a particular Google ad on Vox Verax that took me to askarepublican.com. The site, adorned in red, white and blue and picturing a barn against a green grassy background, reads:
Congressman Martin, the home page tells us, "is committed to: Protecting Us From Terror, Protecting Our Borders, Protecting Marriage, Protecting Our Children" and that we should click to "View Rep. Martin's Blessed Campaign Ad".
Well, we have to tell you this: Rep. Martin is the kind of old-fashioned Republican we really like — true to his ideals, forthright, honest, unwavering in his patriotism. We think readers of Vox Verax will also enjoy his message.
So go there. Go to askarepublican.com. Click on the links. Enjoy.

I have been a fan of Congressman Richard Martin for a long time. He is so much better than Paul Gilmartin. Ohio is blessed to have him serving their needs … I’m sure that he has been a guiding influence and role model for Minnesotan’s own Michele Bachmann … no doubt that she agrees with his support of oil companies tax breaks and as he says 'Because my car doesn't run on poor people.'
you know he's not real, right? Ha I love republicans. this is rich
hahaha... you people actually think he is real? Good grief. Welp, that sums it all up pretty well.
you do realize that ohio hasn't had a 19th congressional district since the 2000 census?
@tuf: Actually Ohio DOES have a 19th district and the rep. is named Marian Harris. Check it out for yourself here:

wrong again that link leads you to Anne Gonzales' page
Dodd, Anne Gonzales is a state representative, not a U.S. Representative. Since January 3, 2003, there is no 19th Congressional District in Ohio. It appears the state will lose two more seats for the 2012 election.
