Fox News Devoted 12 Times More Coverage To Anna Nicole Than Walter Reed
Our national media embarrassment was again on full display on Friday. Both MSNBC and Fox News devoted more coverage to Anna Nicole Smith — three weeks after her death on Feb. 8 — than they did to the multiple developments involving the neglect and deplorable conditions at Walter Reed military hospital.
The most lop-sided coverage by far was aired by Fox News, which featured only 10 references to Walter Reed compared to 121 of Anna Nicole — roughly 12 times the coverage. MSNBC featured 84 references to Walter Reed and 96 to Anna Nicole.

You hit a home run, Warrior! Our federal bureaucracy is completely out of control and completely dysfunctional. These problems only come to light when pressure is exerted on the bureaucracy.
Look at the intel agencies prior to 9/11 - and even afterward. They've been a failure for years resulting in largest terrorist incident in human history. Look at FEMA - it took the Katrina disaster to show how much of an abject failure that agency is. The problems at Walter Reed have apparently been going on for years - but only because we've been in a war since 2002 have the problems come to light. Pressure on the bureaucracy exposes the flaws and the problems.
As long as things run on autopilot with minimal disruptions, the problems with the federal bureaucracy will remain hidden. Only by exerting pressures on the bureaucracy can we see that, for the most part, these people are good for nothing more than drawing a salary at taxpayer expense.
Walter Reed, FEMA and CIA/FBI are case studies of the endemic problems we have in our federal bureaucracy. Please exclude me from universal health care.
