Gutknecht not as "party line" as Kline and Kennedy

While Republican candidates are still collecting the big bucks from their usual constituencies, they are presenting their appearance to voters as more like being rats running from a sinking ship (see "GOP Candidates Claim Degrees Of Separation From President" below). The facts usually help, though, and while the following comes from a Democratic National Committee (DNC) news release, which should always be taken with a grain of salt, we assume it's more or less accurate:

-- Representative John Kline (MN-02) has voted with President Bush 94 percent of the time.

-- Representative Mark Kennedy (MN-06) has voted with President Bush 92 percent of the time.

-- Representative Gil Gutknecht (MN-01) has voted with President Bush 82 percent of the time.
