Jim Hightower asks "Are you better off yet?"
It's hard keeping curent on all the news. Instead, Vox Verax tries to make available news, info and opinion (including our own) that ought to be seen, heard or read by anyone who is looking for something outside the partisan blogosphere. In our minds, there is no sense in just preaching to the choir or egging on those who might disagree with us.
To this end we would like anyone with an open mind to view Jim Hightower's "Are you better off yet?", a compendium of facts and statistics regarding the economy, tax cuts, jobs, wages and poverty.
A friend who generally disagrees with our political stance says, "I go out to Vox Verax from time to time and consider it part of my 'Let's see what both sides are up to...' reading." Yes, Mr. Hightower has a point of view, as do we. But as any thinking person would say, you can't make up your mind, let alone argue a position, unless you are well informed about both sides of an issue.
As Jack Webb would intone, "Just the facts, ma'am. Just the facts."
