What happened to the Center of the American Experiment?
The Twin Cities-based, so-called conservative think tank Center of the American Experiment folded up recently, laying off nearly all its staff. Founder Mitch Pearlstein says it is reorganizing in order to return to its original focus on "cultural and social issues." The organization is currently listed as "inactive", according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's office.
The Center had over the last several years become quite political in its direction. No surprise, since most of its board of directors were significant contributors to the Republican Party and its candidates, according to Involved in Minnesota.
